A+ Skills Tutoring™ was founded by Debbie Mandell, who prior to moving to Naples had a thirty year teaching career in Greenwich, Connecticut. During her multi-faceted educational career, she was a classroom teacher, reading specialist and an administrator at the elementary and middle school levels. Debbie holds three academic degrees from Connecticut State Universities including a Master of Science Degree in Reading and a Sixth Year Degree in Administration and Supervision. Since starting her tutoring service in 2004, Debbie has retained the services of other accomplished Northern and Collier County educators. All of the members of the A+ Skills Tutoring™ faculty have advanced degrees, Professional Certifications and considerable teaching and tutoring experience. Tutors have degrees from Universities such as MIT, University of Pittsburgh, and University of Northern Colorado among others - each is dedicated to their student’s success! A+ Skills Tutoring is active with various community charitable and professional groups including: The Education Foundation of Collier County Champions of Learning, The Naples Alliance for Children, The National Education Association, Education Industry Association, National Tutoring Association, Naples Area Professional League of Executive Services, The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and The Florida Parent-Educators Association.
